Reflecting on my Game Plan in week 6, I find that I am actively working on my goal to collaborate with other educators to learn new digital tools, specifically a wiki! Working as part of the language arts/social studies team to construct the wiki and utilize it as a tool to interact with each other continues to be a real learning experience for me. The team work has enabled me to get to know my terrific peers. We have become real comrades through our efforts to achieve knowledge. We share information and help each other through the challenges of the project as well as the stress of our daily lives. I thank all my team members for this rewarding experience.
Also, one action of my Game Plan is to determine my progress with increasing my technology skills by asking the question, "Do I know more?". I am pleased to reply that I do know more about designing digital-age learning experiences. As a result of my efforts this past five weeks, I feel confident that with additional practice, integrating technology to enhance content learning will become more and more natural to me as an educator.

Kelly,
ReplyDeleteI would have to agree that you're efforts to reach your digital goal is paying off. It's been so nice working with you and everyone else on our class Wiki. You seem to know how to get the ball rolling for our group. This has encouraged me to want to continue to take the time to explore the really great resources out there in technology world. Thanks again for everything!
Kelly
ReplyDeleteIt is good to hear that you and your collegues are working together to integrate web 2.0 tools. I hope that my school will be at that point soon, especially with our state's new evaluations process which puts a lot of enphasis on technology. Right now I do work with some of my collegues because we are the ones who want to use more technology in our classrooms, but we are all in different departments which I suppose isn't a terrible thing either.
Kelly,
ReplyDeleteIt is very true that when you work together on something new with colleagues and peers, that you not only learn more about technology, but you build valuable relationships as well. It is a great thing, to collaborate with teachers that share similar goals, because professional resources are one our most valuable attributes as a teacher.
Charles.
Kelly,
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is GOOD FOR YOU! You seem to have found a great way to interact with your peers and increase your knowledge. Sounds like a lifelong learner to me!

Kelly,
ReplyDeleteI am glad that the wiki has proved to be a success in helping you collaborate with other educators. I have also really enjoyed the experience of creating a wiki as a part of this class. I hope you continue to make steps toward your goals.

I am glad to hear that you and your peers are working so well integrating technology. Web 2.0 is a wonderful invention that can expand a child's mind when utilized correctly. My current peers are very shy about using technology in the class room. I have one teacher really struggling on how to use email. Do you have any suggestions?
