After reviewing my game plan, I am satisfied that it does outline my intended goals, however, after progressing through searches for information about digital tools over the past three weeks,I am going to add an action item. The action is to keep a log of sites I visited and the time I spent. I have created that log and it also includes a column for me to note if the site was useful to me. This info may help me develop a better search method to find what I need faster.
I did not update the table on my blog yet as I am having difficulty editing it online. I am making the changes to my file so at the end of the course(if I don't figure out how to edit the posted document), I can post the template with all revisions.

Kelly,
ReplyDeleteCreating a log to chart the sites you visit with comments is an excellent way to keep track of all the sites you visit during your research. I have been bookmarking them to my delicious page, but a chart will alow me to add comments.
Great job so far on your GAME plan.
Debbie
Kelly,
ReplyDeleteI really like your idea of keeping up with the sites that you view. I often find that I end up looking at the same site again when it wasn't really useful in the first place. I plan to use a log similar to yours when I am searching for Internet sites as well. Thanks for sharing this idea.
Ashley
Great idea about keeping a digital log of the sites you have visited. I'm trying to do the same with the blogs I have found. Please share the sites you have found!
ReplyDeleteYou could always keep track of the sites that you go to using an online bookmarking tool. www.delicious.com/ and www.diigo.com/ are two bookmarking sites that you could use. With these bookmarking sites you can keep a log of all of the sites that you have been to that you think are useful, you can connect each sites to keywords like games, group work, or worksheets so you know what each site had on it and you can use those key words to search for a specific type of site. For example if I was doing a unit on percents in my class and I needed an activity I could type in percent and activity as keywords and I could see all of the websites I have saved that I attached these keywords to.
